WELCOME to Country Carriage Bed & Breakfast now offering guests the choice of two train carriages situated on our farming property in the Shire of Temora.
Conveniently located, just off Burley Griffin Way, 20 minutes from Temora and 15 minutes from the historic village of Ariah Park.
The Overlander used to travel across the Nullabor. Renovation was completed in June 2006 and this carriage provides three separate sleeping compartments accommodating up to six guests with one Queen bed, one Double bed and two Bunk beds. It is ideal for families or two couples travelling together. The living and dining areas are furnished with family antiques. It contains a shower room and two separate toilets.
The City Circle was a Sydney passenger train and its renovation was completed in September 2009. This is an open-plan carriage with a bedroom containing a King size bed, full size bathroom with shower, toilet and vanity, large living area which has a slate billiard table, a dining area and a kitchen/bar area. The City Circle carriage is ideal for one couple or a single.
Both carriages:
* Are fully self contained with bar fridge, microwave, toaster and tea/coffee
making facilities
* Have quality linen and towels
* Have reverse cycle heating/cooling
* Contain TV, DVD, Radio and CD player
* Have a supply of books, magazines, CD’s and board games and guests
are welcome to borrow DVD’s without charge
* Are sited 50 metres from the homestead and 50 metres from each other
in pleasant garden surroundings with rural views stretching to the horizon
from every window.
We provide:
* a generous continental plus cooked breakfast delivered to your carriage
* a rambling country garden where you are welcome to wander or sit and
enjoy the views of the countryside and grazing cattle and horses or enjoy
the privacy of the carriage gardens and outdoor settings
* Evening meals by prior arrangement ranging from a family meal delivered
to your carriage to a two-course meal served on Royal Doulton china in
the homestead dining room with complimentary appetizers and regional
wine
