About your Hosts - Rita and Lyndsay Bromfield
Lyndsay is the fifth generation to farm on "Hazeldean". Our farming operation includes cereal crops and
beef cattle. We both have a keen interest in horses, Lyndsay in showjumping and Rita in dressage, but we no longer compete. Lyndsay now stands a stallion “Our Peace Officer” bred from showjumping lines and mares and foals are usually in the paddocks close to the house and carriages.
We have two sons in their twenties who have completed agriculture related university courses and work off-farm.
Country Carriage opened in June 2006 and we are enjoying this aspect of diversifying on farm.
We are committed to showcasing our local and regional area and use local and regional produce as far as possible.
We are happy to drive guests around “Hazeldean” to see the crops, cattle and horses.
